Haval Green Cruise Control Active Indicator Light

🟢 INFO / SYSTEM ACTIVE

What Does This Indicator Mean?

The Haval Green Cruise Control Active Indicator Light is a status notification rather than a traditional warning light. Specifically engineered for Haval vehicle lineups—such as the Haval H6, Jolion, and Dargo—this green illumination signals that the adaptive or standard cruise control system has been successfully engaged, the desired speed has been locked into memory, and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) along with the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) module are actively managing vehicle velocity. The vehicle’s front radar sensors, windshield-mounted multi-purpose cameras, and steering angle sensors continuously monitor the surrounding traffic and road conditions to maintain the preset speed and following distance, automatically modulating the electronic throttle actuator and transmission shift points.

Can I Still Drive with This Light On?

Yes, absolutely. Because this indicator features a green severity color rating, it means the system is operating normally as intended by the manufacturer. There is no mechanical failure, electrical fault, or safety risk associated with a green cruise control indicator. It simply informs the driver that automated speed maintenance is currently active. You can continue driving safely, though you must remain alert and maintain control of the steering wheel and brakes at all times.

Common Causes of the Warning

  • System Activation: The driver has deliberately pressed the cruise control activation button on the steering wheel and set a desired cruising speed.
  • Resume Command: The driver has pressed the resume button after a previous braking event, allowing the ADAS module to safely accelerate the vehicle back to the previously stored speed.
  • Intelligent Adaptive Speed Adjustment: The vehicle’s integrated traffic sign recognition or navigation system has adjusted the preset cruising speed automatically based on changing speed limit zones, prompting the system to remain actively engaged.

How to Diagnose and Reset It

Because the Green Cruise Control Active Indicator is a normal operational light and not a diagnostic trouble code (DTC), it does not require an OBD2 scanner, digital multimeter, or mechanical inspection under the hood to clear. To turn off this indicator light, simply perform any of the following standard driving actions: firmly press the brake pedal, press the dedicated cruise control cancel or on/off button located on the steering wheel, or manually accelerate past the set speed threshold. The light will extinguish immediately upon disengagement of the system. If the light remains illuminated when the system is switched off, it may indicate a sticky steering wheel switch, requiring a software reset or switch assembly inspection.
