What Does This Indicator Mean?
The Geely Green Cruise Control Active Indicator Light illuminates on your instrument cluster to inform you that the vehicle’s electronic speed regulation system is currently engaged and actively maintaining the driver-set velocity. In modern Geely platforms, such as the Coolray, Azkarra, or Monjaro, this green icon confirms that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) radar or camera modules are successfully working in tandem to control the electronic throttle body and braking actuators without requiring input from the accelerator pedal.
Can I Still Drive with This Light On?
Yes, absolutely. Because this indicator features a green severity color rating, it is classified strictly as an informational status light rather than a diagnostic warning. It does not indicate a system failure, mechanical fault, or fluid degradation. It simply tells you that your automated cruising function is operational. You can continue driving normally, and you can switch the system off at any time by pressing the cancellation button on the steering wheel or gently depressing the brake pedal.
Common Causes of the Warning
- System Activation: The driver has purposefully pressed the cruise control activation and set buttons on the multi-function steering wheel.
- Autonomous Resume: The vehicle has automatically resumed a previously stored speed memory following a temporary brake override or deceleration event.
- Adaptive Following Engagement: The radar transceiver located in the front bumper or upper windshield has successfully locked onto a leading vehicle and is actively pacing it at the designated interval.
How to Diagnose and Reset It
Because this light represents normal, intended vehicle operation rather than a fault code, no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) will be stored in the electronic control units, and an OBD2 scanner is not required. To turn the indicator light off, simply press the main cruise control power button on your steering wheel or tap the brake pedal to disengage the system. If the light remains illuminated while the cruise control is physically switched off, it may point to a stuck steering wheel switch or a transient software glitch in the instrument cluster, which can usually be resolved by performing a complete ignition cycle restart.
