From 2004 to 2010, a German company produced the 1.9-liter Opel Z19DTH or LRD diesel engine, which was fitted to vehicles like the Astra, Vectra, and Zafira. Fiat developed this 16-valve engine, which Saab installed as the D207L.

The engines Z13DTJ, Z13DTH, Z17DTH, and Z19DT are also members of the Z family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Astra H (A04) in 2004 – 2010;
- Opel Signum A (Z03) in 2004 – 2008;
- Opel Vectra C (Z02) in 2004 – 2008;
- Opel Zafira B (A05) in 2005 – 2010.

Disadvantages of the Z19DTH engine
The intake manifold swirl flaps are this unit’s weak point; they deteriorate rapidly and begin to randomly close or fall off.
There aren’t many issues with the fuel system, usually just the metering valve; pollution can cause the turbine’s blades or the EGR valve to wedge;
The exhaust manifold frequently deforms or cracks near the fourth cylinder.
