Engine Opel Z19DT

From 2004 to 2010, the German company produced the 1.9-liter diesel Opel Z19DT or 1.9 CDTi, which was fitted to popular models like the Astra, Vectra, and Zafira. Fiat developed this 8-valve engine, which Saab installed under the D207E index.

Disadvantages of the Z19DT engine

This engine is straightforward and dependable because it lacks troublesome swirl flaps;
The metering valve is the Bosch Common Rail fuel system’s weak point; nozzles frequently start to pour at high mileage, but these are typically fixed;
Here, the turbine serves as a resource; however, the exhaust manifold may crack or distort around the fourth cylinder, and the geometry of the blades changes from coke to wedge.
