Produced between 2003 and 2010, the 1.7-liter Opel Z17DTH or LPZ diesel engine was fitted to several popular concern models, including the Astra, Corsa, Combo, and Meriva. Fuel equipment made by Bosch and Denso was installed in this unit.

The engines Z13DTJ, Z13DTH, Z19DT, and Z19DTH are also members of the Z family.

Disadvantages of the Z17DTH engine
Rubber injector sleeve seal leaks are the most well-known engine issue; low-quality antifreeze can occasionally corrode these sleeves and the heat exchanger;
The Common Rail fuel system’s various malfunctions come in second;
As with any diesel engine, the diesel particulate filter and EGR valve need to be cleaned on a regular basis. The turbine frequently fails between 150 and 250 thousand kilometers.
