From 2005 to 2010, a Polish plant produced the 1.3-liter Opel Z13DTH or L4I diesel engine, which was fitted to the company’s two most well-liked models, the Astra and Corsa. This power unit was essentially a variation of the Fiat 199A3000 diesel engine.

The engines Z13DTJ, Z17DTH, Z19DT, and Z19DTH are also members of the Z family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Astra H (A04) in 2005 – 2010;
- Opel Corsa D (S07) in 2006 – 2010.

Disadvantages of the Z13DTH engine
Here, a drop in the oil level frequently results in a chain jump and rocker breakage;
The timing chain has a very limited resource, particularly its hydraulic tensioner;
The engine stalls as soon as it starts and the EGR valve sticks due to pollution;
Additionally, the thermostat frequently leaks, and the motor is terrified of low antifreeze levels;
Fuel gets into the lubricant when the diesel particulate filter burns, necessitating its replacement.
