Disadvantages of the Opel A22DM engine

To begin with, the CR Delphi fuel system has strict requirements for diesel fuel quality.
The timing chain has a short lifespan and is occasionally replaced after 150,000 kilometers.
Some versions have a controlled oil pump, which can be very problematic.
Frequently, this pump drives and jams chips, which are subsequently transported throughout the system.
Many diesel engines experience issues with the particulate filter, EGR, and intake manifold.
