Since 2009, the company has been producing the 1.4-liter Opel A14XER or Ecotec LDD engine, which is fitted to the company’s well-known compact models, including the Corsa, Meriva, and Adam. These days, new Euro 6 B-series engines are gradually replacing the units in this family.

A12XER, A14NET, A16XER, A16LET, A16XHT, and A18XER are all part of the A10 line.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Adam A (M13) since 2013;
- Opel Astra J (P10) in 2009 – 2013;
- Opel Corsa D (S07) in 2009 – 2014;
- Opel Meriva B (S10) in 2010 – 2017.

Disadvantages of the A14XER engine
This series of motors frequently make noise, whistle, and click, but this is not a malfunction;
Oil leaks frequently happen, particularly from beneath the pressure sensor or valve cover;
The antiquated crankcase ventilation system ranks second in terms of lubricant leaks; electric fan malfunctions frequently result in engine overheating;
Here, the thermostat, pump, ignition module, and candles are fewer than usual.
