Disadvantages of the X20SE engine
The engine is regarded as dependable, and all of its issues are related to normal wear and tear;
On the forums, Opel owners most frequently lament ignition system malfunctions;
The failure of one or more sensors ranks second in terms of popularity;
Hydraulic lifters may knock from poor-quality oil at high mileage;
The timing belt can travel between 50,000 and 60,000 kilometers, but the valves do not bend when it breaks.
