Produced between 2006 and 2011, the 3.2-liter Opel Z32SE or LU1 engine was mounted on the well-liked Antara crossover or nearly identical to the Chevrolet Captiva. A lot of people mistake this motor for the LA3 power unit that came with the Vectra or Signum models.

Z20LET, Z22SE, Z22YH, Z24SED, Z28NET, and other engines are also part of the Z family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Antara A (L07) in 2006 – 2010;
- Chevrolet Captiva C100 in 2006 – 2011.

Disadvantages of the Z32SE engine
In addition to having trouble starting in the winter, this motor freezes while in motion because it dislikes frost.
However, the timing chain mechanism’s low resource is linked to the engine’s primary issues.
On a 50,000-kilometer run, the chain can already stretch, and the replacement cost is not promising.
Rings quickly lie when driving with a clogged radiator because the engine fears overheating.
ECU malfunctions and oil leaks are typically linked to the power unit’s remaining malfunctions.
