Engine Dodge ECB

From 1994 to 2005, the 2.0-liter Dodge ECB or A588 engine was assembled at the Trenton facility and fitted to popular American models like the Breeze, Neon, and Stratus. This unit’s versions from before and after 2001 differ greatly and cannot be used interchangeably.

Disadvantages of the ECB engine

Overheating with gasket failure and cylinder head warping is the most frequent internal combustion engine failure; this is caused by coolant leaks from thermostats or cracked pipes.
Additionally, engine mounts, camshaft, and crankshaft oil seals deteriorate quickly here. Remember to replace the timing belt every 100,000 kilometers or the valve will bend if it breaks.
These vehicles frequently use oil after 200,000 kilometers of operation.
