A 12-liter in-line, six-cylinder turbocharged diesel common-rail engine powers the Volvo D12A420. Fits both FM12 and FH12. In terms of particular pressure and injection power parameters, diesel engines D12A420 are an extension of the popular and tried-and-true 4-valve technology. You can optimize the fuel system’s actions with this model’s electronic control system for engine operation.

To boost power, the Volvo D12A units are turbocharged. The engines’ performance and control have been improved to a level appropriate for the most demanding operating conditions thanks to the redesigned heat exchanger, a brand-new injection system, and the EMC-2 engine management system. Six cylinders are arranged in a single row in Volvo D12A420 engines to make maintenance and repairs easier.
