Engine GM LLT

The Cadillac CTS, STS, Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, and GMC Acadia crossovers were equipped with the 3.6-liter V6 General Motors LLT engine, which was manufactured in the US and Canada between 2007 and 2017. In essence, this power unit is a direct fuel injection version of the LY7 engine.

Disadvantages of the GM LLT engine

Although this motor is entirely dependable, its timing chain has a limited resource;
This is particularly true for the first-year units, whose chain extended up to 100,000 kilometers;
Additionally, a capricious direct fuel injection system can cause a lot of problems;
It is vulnerable to valve deposits, just like all direct injection engines;
Keep an eye on the cooling system’s condition: the pump doesn’t run for very long, and radiators are leaking.
