Disadvantages of the GM LGX engine
The unit’s short-lived thermostat is its only known vulnerability;
The start-stop system’s frequent malfunctions and temperature sensor failures are noteworthy;
It is prone to valve deposits, just like all direct injection engines, and people frequently complain about valve seal leaks on specialized forums.
