Engine GM LGX

Since 2015, the Michigan plant has been producing the General Motors LGX 3.6-liter V6 engine, which powers well-known vehicles like the Cadillac XT5, XT6, CT6, and Chevrolet Camaro. The LGZ index is used in this unit’s modification for GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado pickups.

Disadvantages of the GM LGX engine

The unit’s short-lived thermostat is its only known vulnerability;
The start-stop system’s frequent malfunctions and temperature sensor failures are noteworthy;
It is prone to valve deposits, just like all direct injection engines, and people frequently complain about valve seal leaks on specialized forums.
