Engine SsangYong D22DTR

Since 2015, the popular Rexton SUV and Rodius or Stavic minivan have been equipped with the 2.2-liter diesel SsangYong D22DTR or 2.2 XDi engine. There are two versions of this diesel engine: 178 horsepower and 400 Nm and 181 horsepower and 420 Nm.

  • SsangYong Rodius 2 (HJ) since 2015.

Disadvantages of the SsangYong D22DTR engine

The fuel system, which is dependent on the quality of diesel fuel, is the primary source of problems;
Costly repairs frequently result from fuel and lubricant savings;
A small resource distinguishes a crankshaft damper, hydraulic chain tensioner, and turbine;
Because of the variable displacement oil pump, liners now run longer.
Contamination of the LNT converter or DPF filter is also linked to numerous issues.
