From 2010 to 2016, the Wales plant assembled the Volvo B6304T4 3.0-liter turbo engine, which was installed in charged versions of several of the company’s models, including the S60, S80, V60, V70, and XC60. A 350 horsepower version of this type of power unit is available under the index B6304T5.

The engines B6304T2, B6324S, and B6324S5 are also part of the SHORT INLINE 6 family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Volvo S60 II (134) in 2010 – 2016;
- Volvo S80 II (124) in 2010 – 2016;
- Volvo V60 I (155) in 2010 – 2016;
- Volvo V70 III (135) in 2010 – 2016;
- Volvo XC60 I (156) in 2010 – 2015;
- Volvo XC70 III (136) in 2010 – 2016.

Disadvantages of the B6304T4 engine
Lubricant consumption is the subject of the majority of owner complaints on specialized forums;
Oil typically seeps from the vicinity of the timing chain cover or beneath the vacuum pump;
An automobile’s oil separator needs to be replaced if there is a loud whistle beneath the hood;
The timing drive’s chain runs for a long time, but the gearbox’s bearings and gears don’t always; the pump and power steering, which are mounted on the same shaft, occasionally need attention blocks.
