Engine Opel Z18XE

From 2000 to 2009, a plant in Hungary assembled the 1.8-liter Opel Z18XE or 2H9 engine, which was fitted on nearly all of the group’s popular mid-size models at the time. This power unit was basically an updated version of the well-known X18XE1 motor.

Disadvantages of the Z18XE engine

Although the device is renowned for its dependability, an unreliable ECU is one of its weaknesses;
Overheating frequently causes the engine control unit to fail, and replacing it is expensive;
Every 60,000 kilometers, the timing belt changes; if you miss it, the valves will bend when it breaks. A dirty throttle is typically the cause of the floating engine speed.
