Since 2016, the company has been producing the 3.3-liter Hyundai-Kia G6DM or 3.3 GDi engine, which is found in Cadenza or Grandeur front-wheel drive sedans and Carnival minivans. This engine was modified for rear-wheel drive and derated to 249 horsepower for the K900 in some markets.

- Kia Cadenza 2 (YG) in 2016 – 2021;

Disadvantages of the Hyundai G6DM engine
The development of carbon deposits on intake valves is the primary issue with GDi units;
Keep an eye on the aluminum motor’s cooling system because it fears overheating;
The duration of the timing chains is still unknown, and the previous model had limited resources;
There are no hydraulic lifters available here, so valve clearances must be changed.
