Engine Hyundai-Kia G6DN

Since 2018, only a few comparable Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride crossovers have been equipped with the 3.8-liter gasoline engine known as the Hyundai-Kia G6DN or 3.8 GDi. The unit has a high compression ratio because it runs on an economical Atkinson cycle.

Disadvantages of the Hyundai G6DN engine

The development of carbon deposits on the intake valves is currently the primary issue.
Keep an eye on the cooling system’s condition because this engine is quite hot.
The resource was limited compared to the predecessor, so we’ll see how long the timing chains last.
It lacks hydraulic lifters, so remember to adjust the valve clearances.
