Disadvantages of the Hyundai G6AV engine
The quality of the assembly and its parts was a problem for the engines in the early years.
The cranking of the motor’s wedge and liners after 100,000 kilometers is a common tale.
Although they are extremely uncommon, power units manufactured after 2000 are more dependable.
The oil burner and injector contamination are the main causes of complaints on the specialized forums.
The engine’s hydraulic lifters and ignition system are also weak points.
