Disadvantages of the Mitsubishi 3B20 engine

This unit is very dependable for such a volume and operates flawlessly for up to 200,000 kilometers.
Long runs frequently result in timing chain stretching or oil consumption.
Maintain a clean cooling system to prevent head overheating.
Grease may seep into spark plug wells due to hardened o-rings.
Every 100,000 kilometers, valve clearances must be changed because there are no hydraulic lifters.
