Engine Mitsubishi 6G72TT

From 1990 to 2000, the company assembled the Mitsubishi 6G72TT 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 engine, which was installed on the well-liked 3000GT or GTO coupe and was exactly like the Dodge Stealth. The unit underwent seven modifications with various TD04 versions and boost pressures ranging from 0.5 to 0.8 bar.

  • Mitsubishi 3000GT 2 (Z15) in 1993 – 2000;
  • Dodge Stealth 1 (Z16A) in 1990 – 1996.

Disadvantages of the 6G72TT engine

This turbine unit is incredibly dependable and doesn’t cause problems when properly maintained;
The oil burner alone is the subject of numerous complaints, and it will turn the liners if the oil level is not checked;
Another infrequent oil change significantly shortens the lifespan of hydraulic lifters and turbines; throttle and injector contamination is the primary cause of floating speed;
Keep an eye on the coolant level because leaks occur frequently here.
