Six-cylinder, in-line, turbocharged, intercooled diesel engines make up the DAF MX-13 engine series. The corresponding numbers represent the three engines in the series, each with a 12.9-liter capacity and a power of 300, 340, and 375 kW.

Modern rail injection technology, a variable geometry turbo compressor, and sophisticated controls for optimal efficiency are all features of the Euro 6 PACCAR MX-13 12.9 liter engine. The engine has an exhaust gas recirculation system, SCR technology, and an active particulate filter in order to comply with the strict Euro 6 emissions standard.

Reliability and durability are improved by cutting-edge technology, high-quality materials, and a variety of integrated features. The cylinder block incorporates the injection pump housing, low pressure fuel lines, and coolant and oil supply lines.
For optimal stiffness and minimal noise, the cylinder block is made without side covers. The one-piece cylinder head incorporates an intake manifold. For optimal ease of maintenance, a combined fuel pump and water separator mounts directly to the engine.
