Engine Scania DC12

Scania entirely transitioned to producing unified Scania DC11 and 12 engines by 2007. Additionally, the piston stroke and volume of Scania DC 12 engines are larger than those of 11-liter engines. Additionally, the length of the connecting rods and the size of the crankshaft crank varied among the internal combustion engines.

To meet the strict requirements of environmental standards in nearly every market, significant progress has been made in lowering the toxicity of harmful emissions. Simultaneously, the dynamic performance and fuel efficiency of Scania industrial and marine engines are guaranteed to meet high quality standards.

Under all operating conditions, the engine’s Electronic Management System (EMS) with unit injectors (PDE) makes sure that each cylinder receives the right amount of fuel on time. A control unit (S6) and sensors for speed, charge air temperature and pressure, coolant temperature, and accelerator/throttle pedal activation oil pressure make up the EMS system. These sensors continuously transmit signals to the control unit. The proper fuel quantity and injection time for each unit injector under the particular operating conditions are determined using this input and the programmed control software.
