Engine Audi AJM

From 1998 to 2001, the company assembled the 1.9-liter 8-valve Audi AJM 1.9 TDI engine, which was fitted on well-known company models like the A4 B5, A6 C5, Golf 4, and Passat B5. Both longitudinal and transverse installations of this diesel power unit were made on vehicles.

Disadvantages of the Audi AJM engine

This diesel engine’s resource is dependent on the lubricant quality, and it cannot handle low-quality oil;
Hydraulic lifters and camshaft lobes deteriorate due to bad oil;
The turbine’s wedge geometry is typically the cause of the motor’s unstable operation;
Here, the unit-injectors’ single bolt fastening may come loose, causing leaks;
Additionally, the network frequently talks about tandem pump malfunctions.
