Engine BMW N74B66

The BMW N74B66 has a 6.6-liter V-shaped 12-cylinder engine. installed on the Rolls-Royce Wraith since 2013 and the Rolls-Royce Ghost since 2010. N74B66TU was the development that was received. The BMW M760Li xDrive has been equipped with this more potent 6.6-liter engine since 2016.

Disadvantages of the N74B66 engine

Rapid coking at idle is the primary issue with the motor; coking in oil lines can cause turbines to fail up to 100,000 kilometers;
The Double VANOS system may already need maintenance after 150,000 kilometers;
Timing chains frequently stretch after 150,000 kilometers, and replacing them will be costly;
Additionally, the engine’s valve stem seals quickly tan and lubricant consumption becomes apparent.
