Engine GM L3T

Popular models like the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Malibu, and Buick Encore GX use the General Motors L3T 1.3-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine, which has been assembled in Korea since 2018. For the Opel Astra with the F14SHT index, a different version of this power unit is available.

Disadvantages of the GM L3T engine

Only noise, vibrations, and Start-Stop system malfunctions are complained about on specialized forums.
Owners also frequently criticize the erratic EVAP gas vapor recovery system.
It experiences deposits on the intake valves as a result of direct fuel injection.
This engine experiences intercooler icing, just like all contemporary GM turbo engines.
