Engine Mitsubishi 6A13

Only local Legnum models or European Galant modifications were equipped with the 2.5-liter Mitsubishi 6A13 V6 engine, which was manufactured by the Japanese company between 1996 and 2005. There is a lot of use for this power unit.

Disadvantages of the Mitsubishi 6A13 engine

The engine compartment’s extremely compact design makes maintenance challenging;
Here, hydraulic lifters and the idle speed controller typically malfunction;
The timing belt may break after 90,000 kilometers, causing the valves to bend 100%; the heat exchanger is corroded by low-quality or outdated antifreeze, which causes leaks to start;
Watch the oil level because the liners don’t last long when the lubrication pressure decreases.
