Engine Volkswagen AHF

From 1997 to 2000, the company produced the 1.9-liter diesel VW AHF 1.9 TDI, which was fitted to popular German models like the Bora, Golf 4, and Audi A3 8L. A comparable ASV diesel engine with EURO 3 support replaced this engine in 2000.

Disadvantages of the VW AHF engine

Thrust failures are frequently caused by the turbine’s wedge geometry or the EGR valve’s damper;
Additionally, valve seats frequently burn out and compression decreases at high mileage;
This could result in a timing and overhaul due to a broken ribbed belt;
Start searching for leaks from the lower flange of the crankcase ventilation tube if your entire sump is filled with oil. A cracked cooling tee is typically the cause of this type of antifreeze leak.
