From 2002 to 2006, the company manufactured a 5.0-liter VW AYH or Touareg V10 5.0 TDI engine, which was limited to the first generation of the well-liked Touareg SUV before it was restyled. Under the BLE and BWF indices, this unit was modified with a particulate filter.

Disadvantages of the VW AYH engine
The turbines’ short lifespan is this engine’s most well-known issue.
Furthermore, in this case, the timing gear mechanism is not the best resource;
Fuel savings are not tolerated by cylinder wall coating, which frequently crumbles;
Tandem pumps and unit injectors frequently start to leak through the seals by 150,000 kilometers;
This diesel engine’s generator and air conditioning clutch are two more weak points.
