From 2000 to 2006, the company produced the 1.9-liter Volkswagen AUY 1.9 TDI engine, which was fitted to the well-liked Sharan minivan and its knockoffs, the Ford Galaxy and Seat Alhambra. Under EURO 4, a comparable BVK engine replaced this diesel unit in 2006.

Disadvantages of the VW AUY engine
The quality of the oil used directly affects how long this engine will last;
