Engine Volkswagen ASZ

From 2000 to 2005, the company assembled a 1.9-liter VW ASZ or 1.9 TDI diesel engine and installed it in Golf 4-based vehicles like the Bora, Octavia, Leon, Toledo, or Audi A3. The Polo 4 and its equivalents, the Ibiza, Cordoba, and Fabia, had the same motor installed under the BLT index.

Disadvantages of the VW ASZ engine

Reducing lubrication causes the camshaft and hydraulic lifters to wear down quickly; additionally, the unit-injector nests are frequently broken here as a result of improper fastening;
Only the electrovacuum valve and the turbine’s geometry are frequently unreliable;
Examine the injector, EGR valve, and coolant temperature sensor wiring if the device is unstable;
The crankcase ventilation membrane and the constantly leaking tandem pump are two of the engine’s weaknesses.
