Engine Volkswagen BXE

Assembled between 2006 and 2010, the 1.9-liter 8-valve VW BXE 1.9 TDI diesel engine was fitted to numerous concern models produced under the Volkswagen, Audi, and Skoda brands. These diesel engines were identified by a group of faulty liners that rapidly deteriorated.

Disadvantages of the VW BXE engine

There were faulty liners on these diesel engines from specific production years;
Engine thrust failures are typically caused by jammed turbine geometry; unit injectors fixed with a single bolt may leak over time; poor quality oil contributes to the wear of hydraulic lifters and camshaft cams;
Servicemen believe that this engine’s tandem pump is another flaw.
