Engine GM LFV

The popular Chevrolet Malibu, Buick LaCrosse sedans, and Envision crossover are equipped with the 1.5-liter GM LFV turbo engine, which has been manufactured in American and Chinese factories since 2014. Additionally, several models made by the Chinese company MG under the index 1.5 TGI have this power unit installed.

Disadvantages of the GM LFV engine

The quality of the fuel and oil used in this turbo engine is extremely important;
Detonation and a bursting partition at the piston are common outcomes of savings;
Additionally, there were numerous instances of the pipe and throttle assembly being disconnected;
The start-stop system’s poor performance has been the subject of numerous complaints on the specialized forums; like all direct injection units, the intake valves are covered in soot.
