Disadvantages of the Land Rover 204DTA engine
The motor was introduced in 2017, and the issue with the balancer bearings was resolved. Nevertheless, there are still instances of early cylinder surface wear; on long runs, cast-iron sleeve subsidence is frequently observed here; the timing chain resource frequently does not exceed 150,000 kilometers; diesel fuel enters the oil due to particulate filter regeneration failures.
