Engine Saab D207R

Only upgraded versions of the redesigned second-generation 9-3 model were equipped with the 1.9-liter diesel Saab D207R or 1.9 TTiD engine, which was manufactured between 2007 and 2011. Fiat developed this power unit, which is exactly like the Opel Z19DTR engine.

Disadvantages of the Saab D207R engine

The majority of the issues with the units in this series are caused by intake swirl flaps, which wear out quickly before starting to wedge or fall off completely.
Fuel system problems are rare; frequently, only the metering valve malfunctions;
The BorgWarner Twin Turbine is generally dependable, but its cost won’t satisfy you; the exhaust manifold near the fourth cylinder has cracks and deformation.
