Disadvantages of the Saab B235E engine

Constant lubrication leaks, particularly at the joints, cause problems for engines in this series;
The range of hydraulic lifters is limited to 150,000 kilometers;
The oil pump wears out during the same run, making it difficult to turn the liners;
Oil consumption and oil scraper rings appear after 200,000 kilometers; the unit’s lightweight pistons can easily burn out and cannot withstand tuning;
The block of balancers, which is typically disposed of, is another weak point. The ignition cassette, turbine, and electric throttle also don’t last very long.
