Disadvantages of the XU7JP engine

Unstable operation in cold weather is a distinguishing characteristic of the XU series motors;
Oil is frequently forced through the dipstick by condensate that freezes in the crankcase ventilation tube;
Idle speed control stepper motor failures cause engine RPM fluctuations;
Spark plugs and ignition coils are rapidly rendered inoperable by subpar gasoline;
Replace the timing belt more frequently because it frequently cracks before the recommended 120,000 kilometers;
The valve cover and the crankshaft oil seal are the primary locations for oil leaks because there are no hydraulic lifters, so valve clearances must be manually adjusted.
