Engine Renault M5Pt

Since 2011, a Korean factory has assembled the 1.8-liter Renault M5Pt or 1.8 TCe turbo engine, which is installed in vehicles like the Espace, Talisman, Alpine A110 coupe, and charged Megane models. The engine has a 225 horsepower civilian version and a 250–300 horsepower sports version.

The following engines are part of the TCe line: H4Bt, H4Dt, H5Dt, D4Ft, H5Ft, H5Ht, H4Jt, M5Mt, M5Pt, and F4Rt.

Disadvantages of the Renault M5Pt engine

Since the installation of this turbo engine has just begun, no failure data has been gathered.
Here, the use of a direct injection system suggests the need for high fuel quality;
The timing chain on TCe series forced engines typically has a short lifespan.
