Disadvantages of the SHDA/SHDB engine

Although Duratec series engines are dependable, they need quality fuel;
Bad gasoline causes spark plugs to deteriorate, sometimes lasting less than 10,000 kilometers;
Here, an expensive fuel pump can fail quickly for the same reason;
The valve in the European version of Duratec engines always bends when the timing belt breaks; hydraulic compensators are not included, and the valves must be periodically adjusted.
