A 12-liter engine powers the Volvo D12A340. Six cylinders, each with four valves, a cylinder diameter of 131 mm, and a piston stroke of 150 mm. produced for the Volvo FH 12 from 1993 to 1995.

Regular maintenance is made much easier by the six cylinders in one row. Both the block and the cylinder head are made of premium cast iron, which has a wide margin of safety.
