Three strong and affordable engines are available in the 12-liter OM 457 engine series: 315 kW (428 HP), 295 kW (401 HP), and 260 kW (354 HP). The EURO emission class-five is met by the OM457LA engine. With a 1 million-kilometer range, it strikes a great balance between high power, fuel economy, and motor life.
High fuel efficiency is achieved by achieving maximum torque at low revs, which corresponds to low specific engine consumption. Fuel can be injected at a higher pressure thanks to electronically controlled injectors, which improves combustion efficiency.
