The third generation of the Focus model and the C-Max compact van were equipped with the 1.6-liter Ford IQDB or 1.6 Duratec Ti VCT 105ps engine, which was manufactured between 2010 and 2019. The firmware is the only real difference between this power unit and its 125-horsepower equivalent.

Disadvantages of the IQDB engine
Dragging catalyst crumbs into the combustion chamber is the engine’s primary issue;
The ignition system’s parts fail next because they dislike poor fuel;
They complain about leaks from the rear crankshaft oil seal or beneath the valve cover on specialized forums;
There are no hydraulic lifters here, so the valves must be adjusted every 100,000 kilometers;
