The sixth generation of the well-liked Fiesta model and the small MPV based on its B-MAX were equipped with the 1.0-liter Ford M1JE engine, also known as the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost, which was manufactured between 2012 and 2017. On the Ecosport crossover, a comparable power unit was discovered under a different M1JC index.

The M1DA and M2DA internal combustion engines are also part of the 1.0 EcoBoost line.
The engine was installed on:

Disadvantages of the M1JE engine
The cooling system’s cracked pipes are the most common failure;
Additionally, there is frequently oil fogging around the valve cover; bad fuel and intake valve coke contaminate injectors; the hole beneath the turbine bypass valve shaft breaks after 100,000 kilometers;
Here, valve clearances are controlled by the choice of pushers rather than hydraulic lifters.
