Engine Geely JLH-3G15TD

The popular Atlas and Coolray crossovers, as well as their modifications sold under the Proton brand, are equipped with the 1.5-liter, three-cylinder Geely JLH-3G15TD engine, which has been manufactured in China since 2018. This power unit is basically a replica of the Volvo XC40’s B3154T turbo engine.

Disadvantages of the Geely JLH-3G15TD engine

It has carbon buildup on the intake valves, just like any other direct injection unit.
Candles that use poor fuel quickly burn out, followed by the catalyst.
When the timing belt breaks, the valves bend, so keep a close eye on its condition.
A recall regarding the replacement of the fuel tank’s ventilation pipe was conducted by another dealer.
