Engine Geely JLH-4G20TDJ

Since 2021, a plant in China has been producing the 2.0-liter Geely JLH-4G20TDJ turbo engine, which is installed on popular local models like the Xingyue, Xingyue L, and Boyue L. This engine was first introduced in some markets in 2023 and is found in Atlas 2 and Tugella crossovers.

Disadvantages of the Geely JLH-4G20TDJ engine

It is typically commended on specialized forums, with only a few minor issues mentioned;
First, the unit is vulnerable to carbon deposits on the intake valves because of direct injection; second, it is crucial to keep an eye on the timing belt’s condition because if it breaks, the valves will bend; and third, there are frequent oil leaks and sweating crankshaft oil seals.
