Engine Hyundai G4LF

Only since 2020 has the 1.2-liter Hyundai G4LF or Smartstream G 1.2 MPI engine been manufactured. It is found in the Korean company’s i10, i20, Bayon, Kia Picanto, and Stonic models. This engine comes in two versions: distributed injection MPI and combined DPI.

Disadvantages of the Hyundai G4LF engine

The engine is largely praised on specialized forums, with the exception of infrequent electrical issues.
Additionally, there are a few complaints regarding Start-Stop system malfunctions.
The thin timing chain is 100,000 km long and has low resources.
Keep an eye on the cooling system because the motors in this series are also prone to overheating.
