Engine Hyundai-Kia D6EB

The Mohave SUV is powered by a 3.0-liter Hyundai-Kia D6EB or 3.0 CRDi diesel engine, which has been manufactured since 2011. It was also installed on the ix55 crossover for a number of years. Diesel’s new fuel system, which supports Euro 5 and Euro 6, sets it apart from its predecessors.

Disadvantages of the Hyundai D6EB engine

Although the CR Bosch system with piezo injectors is dependable, it uses a lot of fuel;
Here, intake pollution via the EGR is frequently the cause of unstable operation;
The crankcase ventilation oil separator is linked to numerous issues with such a diesel engine;
A double-row timing chain can stretch and jump after 200,000 kilometers;
Glow plugs and their control unit are another engine weakness.
