Disadvantages of the Mazda KJ-ZEM engine

The primary issue is compressor failures;
Additionally, the aluminum block is terrified of overheating; monitor the cooling system;
The engine typically uses one liter of oil every 1000 kilometers on runs longer than 100,000 kilometers;
There are no hydraulic lifters, and valve clearances must be changed every 100,000 kilometers. The timing belt is made for 80,000 kilometers, and replacing it is costly. However, the valves do not bend when it breaks.
