The entire third-generation Mini lineup, from the Clubman F54 to the Countryman F60, is equipped with the 2.0-liter Mini Countryman SD B47C20A diesel engine, which debuted in 2014. All of these diesels belong to the BMW B47 family, and the engine with 150 horsepower is commonly known as the B47C20B.

W17D14, W16D16, N47C16A, N47C20A, B37C15A, and B47C20A are MINI diesel engines.

Disadvantages of the Mini B47C20A engine
The EGR valve, also known as the AGR, is the primary source of the owner’s issues;
Timing chains need to be replaced closer to 200,000 kilometers because they are now more dependable than N47; a recall campaign was conducted in several countries to replace it;
As usual, piezo injectors and a particulate filter will give you a lot of headaches as the swirl flaps in the intake quickly become jammed with soot.
